GDC Meeting #6


Graphic Design Club
Meeting #6
2-24-2012
5:30pm – 7:30pm
Main Points:

1.    Discussed money options/procedures
·      $30 dollar discrepancy
o   Talked to Peter about receipts and discussed the $30 discrepancy in funds. The money will be searched for and accounted for.
o   Kim must be informed and involved as treasurer about funds.
·      Bake sale – April 18th and 19th
o   Talked about someone volunteering to be in a dancing cookie suit for the bake sale.
o   Having a fabric backdrop for people to take photos (photo booth) and also setting up a box of props for people to use if they choose to.
o   Including a “Graphic Design Club” sign on the backdrop to promote the club if people take photos.
2.    Discussed the peer-portfolio review – March 16th
·      Reviewers: Jacob, Kristy, Anna, John, Kim, Pete H.
·      The room is secured for this event
·      We need to get a general announcement of the event
·      Having lemonade and snacks available for everyone
·      Forward information to Kim about money/event
·      Create a form to be used for the event
·      Having someone take photos of the event which could promote the club (model-release form needed for this)
·      Gino will talk with The Voice about the event
·      Keep the event small, stream-lined and put-together
3.    Matthew Carter/ Roger Black Trip
·      Cifaldi - Thursday March 8th at 5:10pm at the Michigan Theater. We can meet at WCC at 4:15pm to carpool. There will be a reminder posted on Facebook. Free admission. Peter, Kim and Monet can carpool. Will be looking into a student release form in case it is needed.
4.    Allegra print tour – March 21st
5.    5 stars meeting
·      Kurt, Gino, Peter, Kim
      6. Gala event – April 25th
