Going to the Addy’s Awards (Ann Arbor Ad Club awards for graphic
designers) on Thursday Feb. 9th

These would all be great opportunities to network
and learn more about the graphic design field.
2.
Discussed ways of raising money/promoting the club to gain members
·
Peer-portfolio review
a.
Book the critique room and charge anywhere around $10 at the door for
the pluses and minuses of other student’s work
b.
Set up a system that would be used for critiquing work (using forms to
explain things better in words and so that it’s written down in order to
remember what’s been said)
c.
Have snacks and refreshments set up for students coming in
d.
Keep it “low-key” so that people don’t feel hesitant or uncomfortable
about presenting their work/ work-in-progress. This will hopefully attract more
people.
e.
Does not need to be a FULL portfolio, but can be select pieces,
finished or unfinished.
f.
Involving more faculty members for critiques

Bake sale
a.
We did well with this last time so this would definitely have potential
to happen again

Sending out a faculty email to announce the club to other classes
·
Setting up a screen-printing area to do screen-prints for students
Hey! Make sure to check the facebook group for an updated event for Feb. 10th and the meeting time for that day will be changed from the normal time to 6:30-7:30 in preparations for the event.
